Head of Operations

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Operations (HoP) co-ordinates the activities of the Ibadan Bible Guest House Research & Development Centre (IBGHRDC). S/he sees to the effective and strategic management, marketing, and upward growth of the BGHRDC. S/he sees to the effective management and motivation of the staff towards improved productivity, excellent service delivery and value contribution. S/he ensures aggressive marketing of the organisation towards achieving a quantum leap in both patronage and revenue generation. S/he shall be accountable for planning, budgeting, financial management, and directs the IBGHRDC operations.

 

The successful candidate will among others do the following:

  • Design strategies to ensure total guests’ satisfaction and continuous patronage of the guesthouse. 
  • Drive the revenue growth of the organisation through development of an annual business plan, promotion, and aggressive marketing of the business to achieve its set target.
  • Manage budgets and financial plans and control expenditures of the IBGHRDC.
  • Maintain statistical and financial records and customer data for effective use and decision making
  • Drive increased patronage of IBGHRDC to achieve set sales and profit target.

Drive the customer base of the guest house for improved bottom line

Personnel Specification

The suitable person must have an excellent knowledge of hospital industry and management, strong leadership and communication skills, aggressive and strategic marketing drive, strong analytical mind, and logistical planning skills, possess financial acumen, and social skills with ability to balance customer and business priorities. Must possess among others: Minimum of 7 years cognate experience in renowned Christian guest house management; A Higher National Diploma or first degree in Catering & Hotel Management or related discipline is a must. A master’s degree in either Business Administration, or a member of relevant professional bodies would be of advantage.
