Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • To acknowledge gifts from donors of the organisation.
  • Relate with and service existing donors/members of the organisation effectively.
  • To monitor the ecosystem and court prospective donors for the organisation.
  • Be an active team member of programmes & events planning for the organisation.
  • Ability to speak at Churches/Christian bodies’ fellowship to enlist their support for the organisation when the need arises.
  • Effectively manage existing donors/members to ensure their maximum endorsement and support for the organisation.
  • Undertake other assigned responsibilities pivotal to the smooth running and success of the BSN.
Personnel Specification

Qualifications

  • HND/B.Sc. Degree.
  • Master's or MBA (added advantage)
  • The DMRO should, of necessity, hold the membership of NIPR, at least with any other professional bodies’ membership being an added advantage.

Personnel Specifications:

  • Leadership Skill – the DMRO should be proficient in leadership skills with convincing traits and a demonstration of the ability to always lead oneself and readiness for higher responsibility. S/he should be capable of undertaking delegation effectively from the CPRM, other people in the department, and the organisation at large.
  • Social Skills- great social skills are desired to foster peace and effective team play with colleagues in the department and the organisation at large, as well as effective relations with the public of the organisation, among whom the donors and members are chief.
  • Communication Skill – the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders is key. S/he should be able to construct convincing appreciation letters to acknowledge gifts from donors and related newsletters about the organisation that prospective donors can easily buy into.

Skills:

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel, as well as CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or Canva, which would provide a strong advantage.
  • Digital Marketing Skills (desired but not compulsory)

  • Good Public Relations Skills
  • Ability to develop flawless and impactful letters and proposals.

Knowledge:

  • Organisational knowledge (Can be acquired on the job)
  • The operations of UBS (Can be acquired on the job)
  • World and Nigerian philanthropic systems

Ability To:

  • Respond promptly to donors' and prospective donors’ enquiries.
  • Acknowledge donors’ gifts appropriately, not more than 48 hours of receiving the same.
  • Manage donors satisfactorily.
