Account Assistant

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, among others, do the following:

  • Petty cash and cash float maintenance
  • creation of payment vouchers and checks
  • Posting of payment vouchers, bank deposit tellers, salary journals, and cash retirement journals
  • Monthly preparation of bank account reconciliation statements
  • Reconciliation of account receivables, payables, and statutory deductions
  • Reconciliation of staff loans and advances for all types of advances available in the organization
  • confirmation of bank lodgments
  • Preparation of the income and expenditure report.
  • Any other job assigned and compliance with deadlines are very important aspects of your job.
Personnel Specification

The candidate must have an OND in Accounting or an AAT with a minimum of one year's experience. Should be able to think analytically and receptively, as well as communicate effectively and interpersonally. The ability to use the Sage 50 Accounting package will be advantageous.
